06:28 AM EDT, 07/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Unilever (ULVR.L, UNA.AS) will maintain the employment terms of its workforce in Europe and the UK following the planned merger of its food business with flavor products company McCormick & Co. (MCX.F). Reuters reported Wednesday, citing a memo from the European Works Council, that the consumer goods giant will safeguard the pay and employment conditions of the unit's workers for two years after the expected deal completion in 2027. Unilever has not yet reached agreements covering employees in the rest of the world, the report added. Unilever and McCormick did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
