08:36 AM EDT, 07/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Berenberg "modestly" raised its earnings forecasts for LVMH Moët Hennessy - Louis Vuitton (MC.PA) after the French luxury goods group's second-quarter revenue growth came in better than expected. "As a luxury powerhouse, LVMH is exposed to all trends, good and bad - as it proved in H1. While jewellery sold well in those economies buoyed by AI-driven equity gains, growth elsewhere was anaemic, with Dior and Chinese spend noticeable disappointments. As the sector bellwether, LVMH highlights the structural headwinds (aspirational, Chinese and Gen-Z consumers) that are constraining sector growth," analysts said in a note published Wednesday. "With downside risk to estimates persisting and valuation elevated versus pre-2017 norms, we remain Hold-rated on LVMH." Against this backdrop, the research firm bumped up its projected sales for 2026 by 0.6%, marking to market for a weaker euro, while EBIT and EPS estimates were respectively lifted by 0.7% and 0.6%. Looking further ahead, the projections for all three metrics were increased for 2027 and 2028. The stock's price target of 420 euros was also left unchanged.
