Erste Group's H1 Net Result, Operating Income Grow

01:56 AM EDT, 07/30/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Erste Group Bank (EBS.VI) said Thursday that its net result and operating income for the first half rose year over year. Net result attributable to owners of the parent for the six months ended June 30 was 1.98 billion euros, compared with 1.67 billion euros a year ago. EPS moved to 4.63 euros from 3.93 euros. The Austrian lender's operating income was 7.96 billion euros, compared with 5.67 billion euros earlier. For 2026, the bank expects more than a 20% increase in EPS based on net profit in 2025. It also aims to double its EPS to above 15 euros per share by 2030, with an adjusted 2025 EPS of 7.72 euros as the baseline.
