03:21 AM EDT, 07/30/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Bayer (BAYN.F) said Thursday it filed a new drug application with China's National Medical Products Administration to expand the approval of Kerendia, or finerenone, for adult patients with non-diabetic chronic kidney disease. The German life science company's application to the regulator's Center of Drug Evaluation is supported by data from the phase 3 Find-CKD study, in which finerenone significantly slowed disease progression and reduced cardiovascular and kidney-related events compared with placebo when added to standard care. The drug is already approved for chronic kidney disease associated with type 2 diabetes and for heart failure with left ventricular ejection fraction in China. In certain countries, finerenone is marketed as Firialta.
