06:39 AM EDT, 07/30/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The UK Competition and Markets Authority said Thursday it is seeking feedback from interested parties on the remedies proposed by Welltower following an inquiry into the US real estate investment trust's acquisition of multiple care homes in the UK. Welltower offered to sell its freehold or leasehold interests, as well as the operations, of certain care homes currently operated under the UK's RIDEA structure and to change operators at certain other care homes. The regulator will accept feedback until Aug. 14 and has until Sept. 17 to decide whether to approve the proposed remedies. The competition concerns relate to Welltower's completed acquisitions of multiple care homes managed by Barchester Healthcare, HC-One, Aria Care, including Asprey, and Danforth Care.
