YTL REIT sees stable hospitality outlook on strong travel demand

PETALING JAYA: YTL Hospitality Real Estate Investment Trust (YTL REIT) expects the hospitality sector to remain stable in the regions in which it operates, supported by sustained growth in domestic and international travel demand.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, YTL REIT said the group's business portfolio under management continues to deliver resilient operational results, driven by strategic positioning of its assets, strong brand partnerships and ongoing asset enhancement initiatives.

“The group aims to deliver sustainable growth and long-term value to its unitholders.

For its fourth quarter ended June 30, 2026, YTL REIT’s net profit jumped to RM119.55mil from RM56.24mil in the previous corresponding period, driven by higher net property income, higher unrealised foreign currency translation gain of RM1.926mil on borrowings denominated in foreign currencies and net fair value gain on properties of RM110mil.

Revenue dipped to RM126.33mil from RM127.05mil a year earlier.

For its financial year ended June 30, 2026, YTL REIT’s net profit rose to RM240.74mil from RM148.55mil in the previous corresponding period, while revenue grew to RM570.35mil from RM548.32mil previously.
