U.S. stocks were higher, with the Dow Jones index gaining around 300 points on Thursday.

Shares of Lam Research Corp (NASDAQ:LRCX) rose sharply after the company reported better-than-expected fourth-quarter financial results and issued first-quarter guidance above estimates.

Lam Research reported fourth-quarter revenue of $6.72 billion, beating analyst estimates of $6.67 billion, according to Benzinga Pro. The company posted adjusted earnings of $1.82 per share for the quarter, beating estimates of $1.68 per share.

Lam Research shares jumped 20.1% to $303.00 on Thursday.

• Emcor Group Inc (NYSE:EME) rose 19.2% to $801.51 after the company reported better-than-expected second-quarter financial results and raised its FY26 guidance above estimates.
• SanDisk Corp (NASDAQ:SNDK) gained 19.1% to $1,210.01.
• Western Digital Corp (NASDAQ:WDC) gained 16.4% to $538.20.
• Seagate Technology Holdings PLC (NASDAQ:STX) surged 14.8% to $877.91.
• Microsoft Corp (NASDAQ:MSFT) jumped 14.3% to $446.49 after the company reported better-than-expected fourth-quarter financial results.
• Applied Materials Inc (NASDAQ:AMAT) gained 13.8% to $497.09.
