On July 30, the 67th APEC Expert Group Meeting on Energy Efficiency and Energy Conservation was held in Shenzhen. The theme of the conference was “Improving System-Level Energy Efficiency: APEC Policy Coordination and Innovation in Regional Energy Services”. Participants had in-depth exchanges and discussions on topics such as progress of key tasks and goals under the APEC Energy Working Group framework, system-level energy efficiency policy collaboration, regional energy service innovation models, and best practices for energy saving and carbon reduction in key areas. The Energy Efficiency and Energy Conservation Expert Group is one of the four expert groups under the APEC Energy Working Group. Currently, experts from the China Institute of Standardization serve as the chairman. This conference is one of the 2026 APEC China Energy Sector Conference Series. The Asia Pacific Energy Research Center also hosted the “Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving Capacity Building” APEC Fund Project Seminar. Approximately 50 representatives from APEC economies, the Energy Working Group and related subsidiary mechanisms, relevant international organizations and research institutes attended the conference.
