The China Audio and Video Copyright Collective Management Association and the first batch of radio and television broadcasting agencies in the country were held in Beijing on July 31. Ten provincial radio and television broadcasting agencies from Hebei, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Shanghai, Shandong, Hubei, Sichuan and Xinjiang completed the signing of contracts on site with the Audio Collection Association. According to reports, this is the broadest and largest copyright agreement between the national radio and television listening industry and the audio and video copyright collective management organization in the five years since the implementation of the current copyright law. The purpose of this initiative is to effectively resolve long-term pain points such as fragmented industry licensing, unclear definition of rights and responsibilities, irregular payment mechanisms, and frequent copyright disputes through a collective copyright management system, break through collaborative blockages between rights holders and radio and television broadcasting agencies, establish a new copyright cooperation mechanism with equal rights and responsibilities, mutual benefit and win-win situation, and set a practical benchmark for the construction of copyright compliance systems in the national radio and television industry.
