Cheese blocks slip Friday despite strength in butter and dry whey

Cash dairy prices were up Friday at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.     Dry whey was up $0.01 to $0.6925. Two sales were reported ranging from $0.6925 to $0.6950.  Forty-pound cheese blocks were down $0.04 to $1.5725. Fifteen sales were reported ranging from $1.53 to $1.5725.  Cheese barrels were unchanged at $1.5475. No sales were reported.  Butter was up $0.0350 to $1.5150. Five sales were reported ranging from $1.5050 to $1.5150.  Nonfat dry milk was up $0.06 to $1.56. Seventeen sales were reported ranging from $1.52 to $1.56.
