05:30 AM EDT, 08/03/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Coiled Therapeutics (COIL.L) said Monday it identified no treatment-related adverse safety findings after the first US patient received its optimized lipid-based oral formulation of AO-252. AO-252 is in phase 1 clinical development in the US for the treatment of advanced solid tumors. The lipid-based softgel formulation is designed to deliver the drug in a pre-dissolved form, enabling more consistent and dose-proportional absorption than the earlier tablet formulation. The precision oncology company plans to launch dose-expansion cohorts in ovarian and prostate cancer, targeting up to 30 patients by the fourth quarter. Initial safety and pharmacokinetic data are also expected around the same time.
