The rating action was based on the Italian gas distributor's updated strategic plan, which the rating agency expects will support the company's strong business profile. For the stable outlook, Fitch noted expectations that the company will maintain "comfortable" rating headroom on funds from operations, with its gearing ratio expected to stay slightly below its 65% negative sensitivity threshold on average through 2030.
