Hong Kong Futures Clearing House: The collateral deduction rate will be adjusted after business hours end on August 7

The Zhitong Finance App learned that on August 4, Hong Kong Futures Clearing Limited (Hong Kong Futures Clearing House) issued a notice stating that according to section 2.6 of the “Futures Clearing House Procedure”, the Hong Kong Futures Clearing House has decided to adjust the deduction rate for cash collateral, exchange fund notes and bonds, and US government bonds after the end of business on August 7, 2026. The new deduction rate will apply to everyday settlement participants choosing different types of collateral accepted by futures settlement to fulfill their obligation to pay a deposit. Settlement participants shall make the necessary financial arrangements to pay any deposit requirements arising from adjustments in collateral deduction rates.
