The Zhitong Finance App notes that Maywell Technology (MRVL.US) shares surged about 11% on Tuesday after the company announced the launch of new products covering its AI memory infrastructure product portfolio.
The company said the new Marvell Bravera and Photonic Fabric (Photonic Fabric) innovations are based on Marvell Structera CXL memory technology's leading position in AI storage, rack-level memory expansion and sharing (pooling), and pod-level fiber-optic shared memory.
Maywell Technology notes that the Bravera SC6 PCIe 6.0 SSD control chip enhances the storage performance of AI inference, enabling more KV caches to migrate from high-bandwidth memory (HBM) to SSDs, thereby improving infrastructure efficiency.
Key-value (KV) caching is a memory-accelerated technology for large language models (LLM) designed to speed up text generation and avoid repeated computation.
The company notes that the Bravera SC6's performance is double that of the Bravera SC5 PCIe 5.0 SSD controller, helping cloud service providers support AI, cloud, and enterprise workloads while improving performance, reducing write amplification (write amplification), and extending NAND lifetime.
Samples of the Bravera SC6 PCIe 6.0 SSD controller are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Additionally, the company said that Marvell photonic architecture memory modules, photonic architecture network cards (NICs), and photonic architecture chips (chiplets) are the building blocks for multi-rack fiber-optic shared memory architectures for AI inference.
