Specialty materials manufacturer ATI (NYSE:ATI) will be announcing earnings results this Thursday before market hours. Here’s what to look for.

ATI missed analysts’ revenue expectations last quarter, reporting revenues of $1.15 billion, flat year on year. It was a mixed quarter for the company, with a beat of analysts’ EPS estimates.

This quarter, the market is expecting ATI’s revenue to grow 6.9% year on year, improving from the 4.1% increase it recorded in the same quarter last year.

Analysts covering the company have generally reconfirmed their estimates over the last 30 days, suggesting they anticipate the business will stay the course heading into earnings. ATI has missed Wall Street’s revenue estimates multiple times over the last two years.

Looking at ATI’s peers in the aerospace segment, some have already reported their Q2 results, giving us a hint as to what we can expect. AAR delivered year-on-year revenue growth of 26.1%, beating analysts’ expectations by 3.9%, and TransDigm reported revenues up 22.5%, topping estimates by 2.5%. AAR traded down 9.8% following the results.
