03:55 AM EDT, 08/05/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Glencore (GLEN.L, GLN.JO) is planning a new buyback program to repurchase $500 million of its shares, subject to market conditions. The commodity trading and mining company will complete the share buyback by February 2027, according to the half-year report released Wednesday. The buyback plan is part of a $1.5 billion top-up shareholder return that will also include a $1 billion special cash distribution.
