Morgan Stanley Expects Generali's H1 Results to Miss Consensus

07:34 AM EDT, 08/05/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Morgan Stanley expects Assicurazioni Generali (G.MI) to deliver a first-half operating result of 4.04 billion euros, alongside a net result of 2.19 billion euros, 7.2% and 6.7% below market expectations, respectively. In an earnings preview note, the research firm said investors should keep a close eye on metrics including property and casualty pricing trends and catastrophe losses, life sales mix, new business value margin, and contractual service margin sustainability, among others. The Italian insurance group will release its interim report on Thursday. Morgan Stanley rates the stock at equal-weight.
