11:59 AM EDT, 08/05/2026 (MT Newswires) -- RBC Capital Markets raised its price target for UBS Group (UBSG.SW) to 44 francs from 40 francs following the Switzerland-headquartered banking group's second-quarter financial results. "Strong capital markets supported UBS' Q2 performance. However, UBS also made progress on a number of structural factors and higher capital generation should help offset the potential [too-big-to-fail regulations] headwind. Sustaining returns helped by capital distributions as the regulatory overhang is removed should drive a further re-rating. The gap to UBS' closest peer shows that there is still more to go for," analysts wrote in a Wednesday note. Against this backdrop, the research firm also lifted its 2026 adjusted EPS estimate to $3.55 from $3.33 and its adjusted return on tangible equity forecast to 14.1% from 13.2%. The projections for both metrics were also upwardly adjusted for 2027 and 2028. RBC has an outperform rating on the stock.
