Commerzbank Posts Rise in H1 Profit; Interest Income Slips

01:34 AM EDT, 08/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Commerzbank (CBK.F) said Thursday that attributable profit for the first half jumped, while interest income slid year over year. Consolidated profit attributable to shareholders for the six months ended June 30 was 1.81 billion euros, compared with 1.3 billion euros earlier. EPS moved to 1.47 euros from 0.92 euro. The German lender's net interest income was 4.11 billion euros, compared with 4.13 billion euros a year ago. For full-year 2026, the bank maintained its guidance for attributable profit of at least 3.4 billion euros and net interest income of 8.6 billion euros, projecting overall revenue at 13.2 billion euros. Targets under the Momentum 2030 strategy were also affirmed.
