03:40 AM EDT, 08/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Morgan Stanley forecasts Allianz (ALV.F) will report second-quarter group operating profit of 4.41 billion euros, 4.3% below market expectations. In an earnings preview note, analysts attributed the miss to the property and casualty unit's operating profit, projected at 2.17 billion euros and expected to trail consensus by 12.1%. Meanwhile, the research firm expects the shareholders' net income of 2.84 billion euros to come in 1.9% ahead of market forecasts. Morgan Stanley said investors should keep an eye on updates regarding property and casualty underwriting drivers, capital return plans, the progression of life and health contractual service margin, and changes to full-year operating profit outlook, among others. The German insurer, which is rated equal-weight, is scheduled to release its earnings report on Friday.
