03:49 AM EDT, 08/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Germany's construction sector contracted at an accelerated pace in July amid further declines in total activity and new orders, S&P Global said Thursday. The S&P Global Germany Construction PMI Total Activity Index dropped to a three-month low of 42.1 from 44.8 in June. The index has recorded a reading below the 50-point neutral mark year to date.
