07:02 AM EDT, 08/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Metzler Capital Markets upwardly revised Deutsche Bank's (DBK.F) price target to 31 euros from 30 euros as it took note of the German lender's annual growth in second-quarter revenue. "In Q2/26, group net revenues rose by 9% y-o-y. This development was driven primarily by the investment bank, but also by the private bank. These segments recorded net revenue growth of 19% (investment bank) and 8% (private bank), respectively," the research firm said Wednesday. "While we appreciate these growth rates, and while we consider the improvements in group profitability in recent years to be remarkable, we do not expect Deutsche Bank to achieve [cost of equity] in the years to come." Against this backdrop, Metzler raised its net revenue estimates across the group. Total operating revenue and EPS projections for full-year 2026 were respectively lifted by 1.6% and 4.2%. For 2027 and 2028, the forecasts for both metrics were also increased. "Moreover, loan loss provisioning (LLP) remains a factor of uncertainty for us. Depending on de-risking measures, Deutsche Bank now expects a positive underlying trend in FY 2026 rather than a slight improvement in absolute LLP. Management still deems the latter to be possible, though," analysts said, leaving the hold rating on the stock unchanged.
