Diageo Posts Lower Preliminary FY26 Attributable Profit, Sales

07:15 AM EDT, 08/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Diageo (DGE.L) said Thursday its preliminary attributable profit and sales for fiscal 2026 decreased year over year. Profit attributable to equity shareholders of the parent company for the 12 months ended June 30 was $1.74 billion, compared with $2.35 billion earlier. EPS moved to $0.779 from $1.057. The British alcoholic beverage company's sales were $27.76 billion, compared with $27.96 billion a year ago. Meanwhile, the board recommended a final dividend of $0.30 per share for the period, payable to shareholders as of record on Oct. 16. It paid $0.6298 per share a year ago. This takes the full-year dividend to $0.50 per share, compared with $1.0348 in the previous year. For fiscal 2027, the company expects flat organic net sales growth and a low-to-mid-single-digit increase in its organic operating profit. Over the medium term, the company forecasts low-single-digit organic net sales growth and a mid-single-digit organic operating profit rise.
