The Kansas City, Missouri-based company said it had profit of 91 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to 88 cents per share.

The electric utility posted revenue of $1.5 billion in the period.

Evergy expects full-year earnings in the range of $4.14 to $4.34 per share.
