10:44 AM EDT, 08/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The UK announced a fresh round of sanctions against Russia as part of efforts to further constrain revenue streams that fund the latter's ongoing war with Ukraine. The British government added 19 new entities to its sanctions list, including six Russian banks and six newly acquired shadow fleet tankers, according to a Thursday release. The latest package also targets four Russian companies that import rare metals used in producing military equipment used in the war.
