The New York-based company said it had a loss of 80 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for investment costs, came to 45 cents per share.

The business development company posted revenue of $15.2 million in the period.

BCP Investment shares have fallen 38% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $7.34, a drop of 41% in the last 12 months.
