12:09 AM EDT, 08/07/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Roche (RO.SW) launched two new real-time PCR test options for cyclospora, the diarrhea-causing infection spreading across the US. The Swiss-listed healthcare company said Thursday the LightMix modular cyclospora assay specifically detects cyclospora using hydrolysis probe chemistry, while the LightMix OneTube Gastro Para 2 assay offers real-time PCR detection for multiple parasites. The two new tests are intended for research use only. Roche is partnering with its TIB Molbiol subsidiary in making the tests available.
