According to the Zhitong Finance App, IDT INT'L (00167) announced that the group expects to lose about HK$56.8 million in the first half of 2026 and profit of about HK$62.6 million in 2025.

Although the Group has taken steps to increase total revenue and gross profit, according to information currently available to the board of directors, the Board believes that the above results are mainly due to (i) confirmation in the first half of 2025 of one-time proceeds from the restructuring of the Group's debt (including (a) creditor forgiveness of approximately HK$48.3 million; and (b) the discontinuation of loans of approximately HK$16.4 million to creditors through the issuance of bonds; and (ii) losses of approximately HK$59.8 million due to termination of consolidated subsidiary accounts in the first half of 2026.

Excluding the one-time items mentioned above, the Group expects to achieve an adjusted operating profit of approximately HK$3 million in the first half of 2026 and an adjusted operating loss of approximately HK$2.1 million in the first half of 2025. In this situation, the Group changed from an adjusted loss in the first half of 2025 to an adjusted profit in the first half of 2026, mainly due to increased earnings and an improvement in the Group's gross profit.
