08:09 AM EDT, 08/07/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Bernstein adjusted its estimates for Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize (AD.AS) after the Dutch supermarket group's second-quarter results came in line with market forecasts amid a "well-flagged difficult quarter." In a Thursday note, analysts highlighted some upbeat points from the company's earnings presentation, including a "rational" pricing environment in the US, positive comments on July trading and stronger-than-expected margins in Europe. "However, we find it difficult to get comfortable owning the stock today given the current management change, as the group CEO, Europe CEO and US CEO are all being replaced," the research firm added. "The management change raises the question of the continuity of the current strategy, and increases the short-medium term risk of a margin reset in the US." With these in mind, analysts trimmed their adjusted EPS estimates for 2026 and 2027 to 2.70 euros and 3.02 euros, respectively, from 2.71 euros and 3.06 euros. Meanwhile, the expected EBIT for 2026 was bumped up 0.6%. The stock is rated market-perform, with a price target of 38 euros.
