Prediction markets operator Kalshi on Monday said it has partnered with Nasdaq (NASDAQ:NDAQ) to deploy the exchange operator’s market surveillance technology, seeking to strengthen oversight of trading activity on its platform.

The multi-year partnership comes as prediction markets face growing scrutiny from lawmakers and regulators following high-profile allegations of insider trading and market manipulation.

Kalshi said it will implement Nasdaq’s surveillance platform in phases, combining its existing monitoring systems with enhanced capabilities designed for prediction markets and perpetual-style derivatives. The technology will provide round-the-clock monitoring to help detect potential market abuse, manipulation and insider trading in real time.

The integration will also support Kalshi in providing trading data to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission in the format required by the regulator, the companies said.

The CFTC last month fined former Republican Representative George Santos $35,000 over alleged manipulative trading on Kalshi. A White House teleprompter operator is also under investigation for potential insider trading on the platform, Reuters reported.
