The quarterly results for Titan Company Limited (NSE:TITAN) were released last week, making it a good time to revisit its performance. Revenues were ₹214b, approximately in line with whatthe analysts expected, although statutory earnings per share (EPS) crushed expectations, coming in at ₹20.02, an impressive 34% ahead of estimates. This is an important time for investors, as they can track a company's performance in its report, look at what experts are forecasting for next year, and see if there has been any change to expectations for the business. With this in mind, we've gathered the latest statutory forecasts to see what the analysts are expecting for next year.
Following last week's earnings report, Titan's 13 analysts are forecasting 2027 revenues to be ₹915.3b, approximately in line with the last 12 months. Statutory earnings per share are predicted to swell 12% to ₹72.84. Yet prior to the latest earnings, the analysts had been anticipated revenues of ₹961.2b and earnings per share (EPS) of ₹69.98 in 2027. So it's pretty clear that while sentiment around revenues has declined following the latest results, the analysts are now more bullish on the company's earnings power.

The average price target increased 5.1% to ₹5,335, with the analysts signalling that the improved earnings outlook is more important to the company's valuation than its revenue. The consensus price target is just an average of individual analyst targets, so - it could be handy to see how wide the range of underlying estimates is. The most optimistic Titan analyst has a price target of ₹5,990 per share, while the most pessimistic values it at ₹4,343. As you can see, analysts are not all in agreement on the stock's future, but the range of estimates is still reasonably narrow, which could suggest that the outcome is not totally unpredictable.
One way to get more context on these forecasts is to look at how they compare to both past performance, and how other companies in the same industry are performing. These estimates imply that revenue is expected to slow, with a forecast annualised decline of 1.3% by the end of 2027. This indicates a significant reduction from annual growth of 24% over the last five years. By contrast, our data suggests that other companies (with analyst coverage) in the same industry are forecast to see their revenue grow 13% annually for the foreseeable future. So although its revenues are forecast to shrink, this cloud does not come with a silver lining - Titan is expected to lag the wider industry.
The biggest takeaway for us is the consensus earnings per share upgrade, which suggests a clear improvement in sentiment around Titan's earnings potential next year. On the negative side, they also downgraded their revenue estimates, and forecasts imply they will perform worse than the wider industry. Still, earnings per share are more important to value creation for shareholders. There was also a nice increase in the price target, with the analysts clearly feeling that the intrinsic value of the business is improving.
With that said, the long-term trajectory of the company's earnings is a lot more important than next year. We have forecasts for Titan going out to 2029, and you can see them free on our platform here.
