12:22 AM EDT, 08/11/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Moody's Ratings on Monday cut Al-Etihad Cooperative Insurance Co.'s (SASE:8170) insurance financial strength rating to Ba1 from Baa2, keeping it on review for further downgrade. The downgrade is based on "significant" financial losses for the first half of 2026 and full-year 2025, which have led to a "material" fall in the Saudi Arabia-listed insurer's capital position. The review for downgrade mirrors Al-Etihad's challenges in raising its underwriting performance and restoring capital buffers, amid the risk of further decline in balance sheet capital and regulatory solvency levels in the near term.
