Botai Auto Federation's “soft and hard core cloud” full-stack strategy has taken a key step on the integrated cabin circuit.
The Zhitong Finance App learned that on August 11, Botai Auto Federation (02889) issued a voluntary announcement. The company recently received a project fixed notice from the leading domestic NEV automaker and will adopt the Horizon Starry Sky chip solution as the customer's new model platform supplier. The announcement clearly mentioned that this is the industry's first high-end AI cockpit fixture with a pure domestic integrated chip, marking the commercialization of the company's AI strategy from a smart cockpit leader to a cross-domain leader in “cabin driving integration”.
Trust and collaboration create the first fixed point
This targeted launch was not achieved in one fell swoop, but was based on long-term in-depth cooperation between Botai and the leading domestic NEV automaker and Horizon.
Botai has maintained deep technical collaboration and commercial cooperation with the leading new energy automaker for a long time. The announcement stated bluntly that the two sides are “highly unified in terms of technical routes, product planning, and ecological construction.” Industry insiders pointed out that Botai has provided smart cockpit products and services to more than 50 car brands, including Rantu and Avita, and has established a deep foundation of trust among high-end NEV companies. The target for this time is the implementation of this long-term collaboration in mass production.
Botai's partnership with Horizon also has a long history. In April of this year, Botai became one of the first customers to sign the Horizon Starry Sky chip. The two sides launched strategic cooperation in fields such as integrated cabin driving, intelligent driving, and innovative robot applications. What is more noteworthy is that Horizon is not only Botai's technical partner, but also Botai's cornerstone investor, and its sales ban has been voluntarily extended to 18 months — this move itself is a sign of deep binding and long-term mutual trust between the two sides.
From AIBox to Starry Sky, Botai's AI technology stack has been installed twice
Botai Auto Federation clearly states its strategic position — a “soft and hard core cloud” integrated automotive and mobile terminal solution provider and ecosystem builder with AI technology as the core.
Dismantling this position, “software” refers to self-developed operating systems and AI application layer capabilities. “Hardware” is an integrated hardware platform for intelligent cockpit domain control and cabin driving; “core” is a deep adaptation around mainstream chip platforms such as Qualcomm, Nvidia, Horizon, and Huawei; and “cloud” is cloud-based AI services and data closed-loop capabilities. The integration of the four forms the core barrier that distinguishes Botai from traditional Tier 1 — not simply a hardware integrator, but a technology platform company with full-stack system integration capabilities.
This target for mass production based on the Horizon Starry Sky chip happened to be a complete test of the “soft and hard core cloud” capabilities. According to the announcement, Botai's role in this project is not a simple hardware integrator. Relying on the “soft and hard core cloud” full-stack technology capabilities, Botai completed complete system integration from the underlying system to the upper application around the Starry Sky chip, and built a next-generation in-vehicle interaction system equipped with physical AI and global intelligence to achieve intelligent functions such as real-time environmental deduction, active travel services, and natural human-vehicle interaction.
According to a recent research report by Everbright Securities, the value of Botai bikes is expected to continue to increase as AI cockpit solutions continue to advance. The trend of integrated superimposed cabin driving is increasing the demand for depth of system integration. Botai is experiencing a jump in the value of bicycles from single cockpit domain control to integrated smart driving functions — this leap not only comes from hardware platform upgrades, but also from the expansion of the depth of penetration of “soft and hard Xinyun” full-stack capabilities into bicycles.
Cabin driving integrated windshield, policy and market two-wheel drive

The penetration rate of integrated cabin driving is expected to exceed 30% by 2030. The Gaogong Intelligent Vehicle Research Institute also pointed out that in 2025, the domestic market will deliver about 6.7 million models that simultaneously support high-speed NOA and smart cockpit configurations, an increase of more than 120% over the previous year, and demand for integrated cabin driving is exploding at an accelerated pace.
At the same time, the policy side is also accelerating catalysis. Since 2026, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has continued to step up the construction of an autonomous driving compliance system. The regulatory framework for advanced intelligent driving is becoming more and more clear. The integration of cabin driving, as the core architecture supporting L2+ autonomous driving and above, is on a new wave of compliance. From “dual domain separation” to “single core fusion”, cabin driving integration is being upgraded from a cost-driven “cost reduction option” to a technology-driven “required architecture”.
Botai has completed a key “starting point” in this racetrack, using this first fixed point for mass production of integrated cabin vehicles, combined with deep ecological collaboration with leading new energy automakers and leading partners such as Horizon.
The company said that Botai Auto Federation is continuing to break through on the three main lines of integrated cabin driving, commercialization of AI, and globalization with the strategic strength of “software and hardware core cloud” integration. The first fixed point for mass production of integrated cabin driving is only the starting point — next, whether this full stack capability can be replicated across more model platforms will determine Botai's final position in the trillion-level smart car market.
