06:52 AM EDT, 08/11/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The UK Competition and Markets Authority on Monday issued an initial enforcement order preventing the business integration of NRG Fleet Services and Specialist Fleet Services amid antitrust concerns. The British regulator said it has reasonable grounds for suspecting that the two parties "have ceased to be distinct" following NRG Fleet Services' takeover of Specialist Fleet Services, according to a Tuesday release. The CMA will now assess whether the transaction has created a relevant merger situation that has impacted, or may be expected to affect, competition within UK markets, and will provide further details when it initiates its phase 1 investigation.
