Cava Group Tops Estimates in Q2, Shares Rise

Mediterranean fast-casual restaurant company CAVA Group Inc (NYSE:CAVA) reported better-than-expected second-quarter results after the market close on Tuesday. Here’s what you need to know.

Cava Group Beats Estimates In Q2

Cava reported second-quarter revenue of $365.43 million, beating the consensus estimate of $360.53 million, according to Benzinga Pro. The company posted adjusted earnings of 19 cents per share, beating estimates of 18 cents per share.

Total revenue was up 31.3% year-over-year on same restaurant sales growth of 9%, driven by guest traffic growth of 5.3%.

“Our second quarter results underscore the continued strength of our category-defining brand and the resonance of our value proposition with today’s consumer,” said Brett Schulman, co-founder and CEO of Cava Group.

The company opened 17 new restaurants during the quarter, bringing total locations up to 476, up 19.6% year-over-year. Cava ended the period with $322.76 million in cash and cash equivalents.

Cava reaffirmed expectations for 2026 same-restaurant sales growth to be between 4.5% and 6.5%. The company also affirmed its adjusted EBITDA guidance of $181 million to $191 million, as well as expectations for opening 75 to 77 new restaurants this year.

CAVA Stock Climbs After The Close

Cava shares were up 6.84% in after-hours Tuesday, trading at $65 at the time of publication, according to Benzinga Pro.
