German Current Account Surplus Rises in June

08:40 AM EDT, 08/12/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Germany's current account surplus totaled 19 billion euros in June, up by 10.1 billion euros from the previous month, the Deutsche Bundesbank said Wednesday. The German central bank attributed the movement to an increase in merchandise trade surplus, alongside a turnaround into a surplus in so-called invisible current account transactions.
