On August 12, Kioxia and SanDisk, a subsidiary of Kioxia Holdings, released their ninth generation of high-performance 2Tb QLC 3D flash memory technology, designed specifically for AI and data-intensive applications. Compared with the eighth-generation 2Tb QLC, the new technology achieves higher write and read bandwidth, and better read/write power efficiency; its NAND interface speed is 4.8 Gb/s, which is 33% higher than that of eighth-generation devices.
