09:50 AM EDT, 08/12/2026 (MT Newswires) -- ABB (ABBN.SW, ABB.ST) signed a new partnership deal with Vale to expand the use of automation and artificial intelligence technologies across the Brazilian company's local iron ore operations. The deal follows the inauguration of Vale's Conceição II model plant in Itabira, Brazil, according to a Wednesday release. Through the partnership with the Swedish-Swiss engineering and technology company, Vale seeks to boost the safety of operations, improve operational performance, and raise the quality of production for mineral production in Brazil.
