02:05 AM EDT, 08/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Capital Tankers (CAPT.OL) said Thursday it took delivery of the M/T Aristodimos Suezmax tanker, expanding its sailing fleet to 15 tankers. The crude oil shipping company financed the acquisition through a $67.5 million sale and leaseback arrangement, repayable in 40 quarterly instalments of $800,000 each, followed by a $33.8 million balloon payment with the last instalment in August 2036. Capital Tankers said it plans to expand its fleet further to 17 tankers by the end of 2026, with the delivery of two additional Suezmax tankers.
