03:15 AM EDT, 08/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The UK's Water Services Regulation Authority, or Ofwat, provisionally approved an investment of 3.4 billion pounds sterling in the water sector. The investment is intended to improve infrastructure and support housing expansion and business growth, according to a Thursday filing. The regulator said the draft determinations follow a three-month review period of company requests for proposed projects. Ofwat will run a period of public consultation on the draft determinations until Sept. 24, with final determinations to be made in December.
