According to the Zhitong Finance App, Samsonite (01910) announced its 2026 interim results. The group achieved net sales of US$1,680.6 billion, an increase of 1.1% year on year; profit attributable to equity holders was US$90.9 million, a decrease of 23.1% year on year; and basic profit per share was 0.066 US dollars.

For the six months ended June 30, 2026, the company's net sales were US$1,680.6 million, up US$18.9 million or 1.1% from US$1,661.7 billion for the six months ended June 30, 2025. On a constant exchange rate basis, net sales decreased by 0.7%. The weakening of the US dollar from year to year had a positive impact on the year-on-year improvement in reported net sales. The reported increase in net sales was also driven by the company's DTC channel, the company's Samsonite brand, and the company's net sales in the lifestyle luggage category.

Net sales during the period continued to be adversely affected by conflicts in Iran and the rest of the Middle East. The conflict triggered inflationary pressure, which in turn led to weak travel demand and weakened consumer confidence, particularly in North America. Excluding net sales in the Middle East and India markets, which have been most affected by the conflict so far, consolidated net sales for the six months ended June 30, 2026 increased by 3.1% (0.7% increase on a constant exchange rate basis) compared to the six months ended June 30, 2025.
