12:01 PM EDT, 08/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Solstad Maritime (SOMA.OL), or Soma, said Thursday it signed a letter of intent with a key client for its Normand Cutter construction support vessel. The contract has a firm three-year term, set to begin between the fourth quarter of 2026 and the first quarter of 2027, with an option to extend for another three years. As part of the deal, Soma, alongside Omega Subsea, will provide two work-class remotely operated vehicles, in addition to manning, tooling, survey services, and project personnel. The offshore shipping company's vessel will be deployed to support subsea operations in West Africa.
