Eurozone's Employment Up 0.1% in Q2, Flash Data Shows

05:29 AM EDT, 08/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The number of employed individuals in the euro area rose by 0.1% in the second quarter, following a 0.1% uptick in the prior three-month period, preliminary data from Eurostat showed Friday. The latest figure matched the consensus estimate. On a yearly basis, employment growth in the eurozone came in at 0.5%, after a 0.5% rise previously, against the expected 0.6% increase.
