05:38 AM EDT, 08/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- (Updates to add information) Switzerland's seasonally and sporting event-adjusted gross domestic product climbed 1.5% in the second quarter, provisional data from the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs showed Friday. The expansion was mainly attributed to the industrial sector, specifically chemicals and pharmaceuticals, alongside the service sector. In the first quarter, GDP adjusted for sporting events was up 0.4%.
