The Zhitong Finance App learned that on August 17, according to the National Bureau of Statistics, in July, the value added of industries above scale actually increased by 4.5% year-on-year (the growth rates of value added are all actual growth rates after deducting price factors). On a month-on-month basis, in July, the value added of industries above scale increased by 0.11% compared to the previous month. From January to July, the value added of large-scale industries increased by 5.3% year-on-year.

Looking at the three major categories, in July, the value added of the mining industry decreased by 4.2% year on year, the manufacturing industry grew by 5.5%, and the production and supply of electricity, heat, gas and water increased by 5.0%.

By economic type, in July, the value added of state-owned enterprises increased by 1.6% year on year; joint-stock enterprises increased by 5.0%, foreign-invested enterprises, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan increased by 2.8%; and private enterprises increased by 3.7%.

By industry, in July, 25 of the 41 major industries maintained year-on-year growth in value added. Among them, the coal mining and washing industry declined by 10.8%, the oil and gas extraction industry grew 6.1%, the agricultural and sideline food processing industry grew by 3.8%, the wine, beverage and refined tea manufacturing industry grew 2.6%, the textile industry grew 2.3%, the chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry fell 1.2%, the ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry grew 0.3%, the non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry decreased by 2.5%, the general equipment manufacturing industry grew by 12.6%, and the automobile manufacturing industry grew 8.7%. The railway, ship, aerospace and other transportation equipment manufacturing industry grew 13.6%, the electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing industry grew 8.8%, the computer, communications and other electronic equipment manufacturing industry grew 19.1%, and the electricity, heat production and supply industry grew 5.3%.

By product, in July, production of 279 products out of 626 products in large-scale industries increased year-on-year. Among them, there were 116.46 million tons of steel, down 4.1% year on year; 126.71 million tons of cement, down 11.6%; 6.97 million tons of ten non-ferrous metals, up 2.5%; 3.48 million tons of ethylene, up 0.1%; 2,529,000 vehicles, down 0.1%, of which 1.55 million new energy vehicles, increased 29.9%; power generation capacity was 943.9 billion kilowatt-hours, down 0.1%; crude oil processing volume was 53.11 million tons, down 15.8%.

In July, the product sales rate of industrial enterprises above scale was 96.9%, down 0.6 percentage points from the previous year; industrial enterprises above scale achieved export delivery value of 1413.3 billion yuan, a nominal increase of 10.4% over the previous year.
