03:34 AM EDT, 08/17/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Alien Metals (UFO.L) said Monday it launched a 12-month exploration program at its 100%-owned Georgina Basin iron-oxide copper-gold project in Australia's Northern Territory. Under the program, expected to cost 155,000 pounds sterling, the minerals exploration and development company will assess more than 90 conceptual targets for iron-oxide copper and gold targets. Updated project-wide target ranking and a decision on the next phase of drilling are expected in June 2027. The company is also planning to submit applications for the BHP Xplor program and Northern Territory Government exploration co-funding grants.
