10:25 AM EDT, 08/17/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Russian company KS Logistika asked President Vladimir Putin to place five Nestlé-owned (NESN.SW) entities in Russia under temporary state administration, local paper Kommersant reported Monday. The request reportedly stemmed from Nestlé halting capacity expansion plans and its decision to stop exporting products made in Russia. A source reportedly told Kommersant that if the request is approved, it could potentially lead to the food and beverage company losing ownership of the Russian assets. Nestlé told MT Newswires it had not been contacted by Russian authorities regarding the issue, adding that it continues to operate and meet regulatory requirements in the country.
