08:19 AM EDT, 08/18/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Berenberg lifted its price target and estimates for MTU Aero Engines (MTX.F) as the German aircraft engine maker's engine fleet flight hours returned to positive annual growth in July. "We are encouraged to see further sequential improvement in MTU Aero Engines' engine fleet flying hours in July since the outbreak of the US-Iran conflict. The recovery has been shallower than for peers, in part due to the underperformance in utilisation of the narrowbody V2500 engine versus its peer the CFM56. The elevated price of jet fuel remains the watch item for the investment case, and we reiterate our preference to own Rolls-Royce given a more resilient growth outlook," analysts said in its Aerospace & Defence - Civil Aerospace report published Tuesday. The price target was revised to 390 euros from 350 euros, while the hold rating on the stock was left unchanged. Meanwhile, sales and adjusted EPS estimates for 2026 were raised by 1.6% and 2.6%, respectively, amid a "more resilient" demand outlook in the company's original equipment manufacturing business. For 2027 and 2028, the forecasts for both metrics were also increased.
