The Zhitong Finance App learned that Citi released a research report saying that the management of Geely Auto (00175) released a number of positive messages during the performance conference, including drastically raising the 2026 export sales target from 640,000 vehicles to 920,000 vehicles and challenging the 1 million vehicle mark. The long-term goal is for overseas sales to account for two-thirds of total sales. The Group plans to establish five core markets, namely ASEAN, Pan-Europe, Eastern Europe, Latin America and the Asia-Pacific region, with a long-term scale of 600,000, 500,000, 400,000, 300,000 and 200,000 vehicles, respectively. In terms of overseas production capacity, management will use Volvo's European plant, Proton's plant in Malaysia, Ford's plant in Spain, and Renault's plant in Brazil. Citi currently predicts that Geely's core profit for the third quarter and fourth quarter will reach approximately RMB 6 billion and RMB 6.6 billion respectively, maintaining a “buy” rating. The target price is HK$30, corresponding to the projected price-earnings ratio of about 13 times the 2026 price-earnings ratio.
