Eurozone Current Account Surplus Rises in June

04:14 AM EDT, 08/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The euro area's seasonally adjusted current account surplus increased to 35 billion euros in June from 26 billion euros in the previous month, European Central Bank data showed Wednesday. The consensus estimate for the month stood at 26.8 billion euros. In the 12 months to June, the bloc's current account surplus totaled 276 billion euros, against 305 billion euros a year earlier.
